Onlookers have said that the sight was extraordinary as the road was going up and down in a wave like manor but for some reason or another, the bridge did not collapse and did not seem to have any serious damage.
An official who inspected the bridge after the occurrence said “Not even the paint cracked on the bridge”.
Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, has already ordered a probe on what went wrong during the planning or building of the expensive bridge which was paid for with state funds.
The wave like stumps reached approximately 3 feet high (1 metre), but not one was seriously injured.
One motorist who drove over the bridge during the strange occurrence wrote “I was driving to my country house when my car started bouncing like a ball, I thought something was wrong with the suspension,” on an Internet forum.
Some officials thought the bridge might have wobbled due to a small earthquake but that theory has since been squashed as no Seismic activity was reported by the country’s earthquake centre.
However Oleg Belozyorov the Deputy Transportation Minister said “Experts agree that it is the dynamics of the air, when wind gusts hit a certain resonance zone, they cause these kinds of consequences.”
The bridge which cost $396 million was designed and built in a way which is earthquake resistant and resistant towards floods but such a problem must have not been foreseen by the designers of the bridge.
Vladimir Parshin, Chief engineer of Transmost, which is a bridge construction company also said that the most likely reason for the such a problem would be high speed winds.
Parshin who spoke to The Moscow Times said “The spans in the Volgograd bridge are rather long, so theoretically it could be less wind-resistant than other similar structures, in any case, this sounds like a precedent for this type of bridge.”
There are two other ways of crossing the bridge which are by a ferry and a bridge which is Approximately 60 miles away.
It has been reported that the bridge had been closed since Thursday, and will remain closed until the cause of the accident is found.

Recent News on Spartacus: Andy Whitfield, who plays the title role in the Starz Original series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The British-born actor will begin treatment immediately.
The network says the cancer was discovered during a routine checkup as Whitfield, in his mid-thirties, prepared to begin shooting the second season of the action-adventure series, which is filmed in New Zealand.
Starz said Tuesday that production has been postponed while Whitfield undergoes treatment.
According to the network, doctors say the cancer was detected in its early stages and is "very treatable."
"Spartacus" is based on the slave and folk hero from the 1st century B.C. The show has been a breakout success for Starz since it premiered in January. The first season concludes next month.
C4 Jumping - I love it! It's an exploit sure, but a purely intentional one by the programmers. Plus it's available to every player(FF-off(friendly fire) of course) and doesn't require any special knowledge to use. Do you think it's considered "cheating"? I would have to say yes, but ONLY if you are playing on a server that has made it clear that C4 jumping is not allowed. Other than that though, I think it's fine and heck of fun to research some new areas on the map. Best Map to use: Strike At Karkand
How to: Make sure you chose Spec-OPS, throw C4 before a building get detonator while running over the C4 press detonate and off you fly my friend. Enjoy!
Avatar people from Wisconsin (Wisconsin Avatar People) are really getting their hobby going with this online chat roulette they tried. From weird college kids to a lonely chair they chat with everyone. I wonder what would be your reaction if you got "connected" with them thru their weird hair thing.
Ubisoft got hacked. (click on image to view full size)
While Ubisoft may not be the only game publisher that is getting a lot of flack as of late for overly restrictive (and stupid) DRM, but they’re sure as hell the only site within the last few days to have the full force of the gaming/hacking/anti-DRM population focused solely on them. At first, the draconian “always on” DRM that debuted with titles such as Assassins Creed seemed bad enough. Multiplying gamers’ frustration however came not but a few hours later when Ubisoft’s DRM servers crashed, rendering those shiny new “infected” games useless. Clearly some pent up anger is festering here.
Late Sunday, the very gamers who felt betrayed at the hands of Ubisoft revolted. Well…Skidrow revolted that is. The image above was what any and every visitor would see when visiting Ubi.com for a short while. The hack has now been removed and normal operation re-established. But it just goes to show that this new age DRM BS is not in the best interest or wants of gamers today.
